Back in 2003 Chris Mann, who had happened to be helping out with the car parking at one of our Open Days and has his own production company Mannmade Productions made the video 'Ancient Mellor Revealed', which reached runner up in its section of the 2004 British Archaeology Awards.

Now for 2006 he has produced for us an exciting DVD:

which tells the full story from Ann Hearle first noticing the crop marks in the dry summer of 1995 right through to the  medieval discoveries of 2006. Using arial photography, animated graphics and virtual reality reconstruction the film presents the succession of habitation from the end of the last ice age to the present occupants.

Click here to see a short but exciting sequence from the DVD as John Roberts introduces the filming and we are given a birds eye view of the site from a helicopter!
