Click to enlarge Image of Peter NoblePeter was appointed Project Officer in December 2006, having been involved with the project since he started as a volunteer several years ago. After training as a mature student at the University of Edinburgh, he worked in Ireland for some time before returning to England to live locally and hearing about Mellor. He has continued to be involved ever since and has been employed as a site supervisor for the University of Manchester Archaeological Unit during the excavation season each year.
