Volunteer Excavation at Mellor
This opportunity is open to anyone over 16, from complete novices to serious students of archaeology. Volunteers are welcome to join us for a day or two or several weeks. No charge is made and no previous experience is necessary, training will be given on site and all work is supervised by qualified archaeologists.
Bring a packed lunch and come prepared with suitable clothing and footwear for all weather! The hilltop is quite exposed, we can have glorious sunshine in the morning and arctic gales in the afternoon. All excavation equipment is provided.
